More Information: This Chenin Blanc comes from vineyards in the Devon Valley of Stellenbosch, where the valley’s distinctive terroir produces beautifully ripe fruit harvested early in the season. The grapes were naturally fermented in a combination of first- and second-fill French oak barrels, adding subtle complexity while preserving the purity of the fruit. The wine was then aged eight months on its primary lees with regular bâtonnage, building texture and depth before being carefully racked and bottled. The result is a layered and expressive Chenin Blanc that reflects both the character of the vineyard and the thoughtful craftsmanship of its winemaking.

The Region

Stellenbosch
Western Cape
South Africa

South Africa’s most celebrated wine district, about 45 km east of Cape Town, spread across mountain foothills and valleys with granite-rich, ancient, well-draining soils and eight distinct wards. High sunshine, moderating sea and mountain influences, and varied terroir make it the country’s benchmark for structured, cellar-worthy reds. Cabernet Sauvignon is the most-planted grape and its calling card — in varietal and Bordeaux-blend form — alongside Merlot, Syrah, Pinotage, Chenin Blanc, and Chardonnay.
