Rhinory Foundation is committed to safeguarding the future of rhinos by funding conservation projects worldwide. We invite eligible organizations to submit proposals that protect endangered rhinos in the field, in the lab, and in the communities that live alongside them.
This Request for Proposals (RFP) seeks to identify and fund projects that address critical challenges facing rhino populations, including poaching, habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict. We are particularly interested in projects that demonstrate a strong commitment to long-term sustainability, community involvement, and measurable impact.
Five lanes into frontline rhino work.
Proposals across any of these five areas are welcome. Projects that span more than one area (e.g. anti-poaching technology with community engagement) are explicitly encouraged.
Enhanced Anti-Poaching Measures
We strengthen anti-poaching efforts by investing in technology, supporting ranger programs, and championing intelligence-led operations to combat poaching.
Rhino Habitat Protection & Restoration
Rhinory Foundation supports projects that secure and expand rhino habitats, mitigate habitat fragmentation, and restore degraded ecosystems.
Community Engagement & Education
We empower local communities to become active participants in rhino conservation through educational initiatives and projects that promote sustainable livelihoods and reduce human-wildlife conflict.
Rhino Research & Monitoring
Rhinory Foundation supports research projects that enhance our understanding of rhino biology, ecology, and the impacts of climate change, as well as population monitoring programs that provide crucial data for effective conservation management.
Rhino Orphanage Support
We are committed to improving the lives of orphaned rhinos. We support programs that enhance rehabilitation and release back into the wild, and fund veterinary research that advances the care and treatment of orphaned rhinos.

To be eligible for funding, applicants must:
All five criteria below must be met. Multi-organization consortia are eligible if the lead applicant satisfies these.
Be a registered non-profit organization or a recognized research institution.
Demonstrate a proven track record in rhino conservation or related fields.
Have the necessary expertise and capacity to implement the proposed project.
Provide evidence of sound financial management.
Projects must take place within the natural habitat range of one of the five rhino species.
